The real cost of DIY WordPress oversight
Protect the most valuable limited
resource of your business: Your Time
WordPress maintenance looks free when you do it yourself.
If WordPress isn't your everyday job, even the essential oversight covered by our Starter plan turns into 15+ hours of checking, relearning, researching, and figuring things out.
15+ hours
figuring it out by yourself
$750 of your time
if one working hour is worth $50 to your business
Thanks to our website oversight services, you can spend those hours on customers, content, growth, or getting your own time back.
Doing it yourself isn't always the free option.
How you benefit from regular website oversight
Your website should work for you.
Not the other way around
You don't need to become a full-time WordPress expert to keep your website in good shape.
Backed by 10+ years of WordPress experience, our team will regularly review what matters, explain what deserves your attention, and give you clear next steps so you can spend less time researching problems, tools, and technical advice.
Reclaim time for your business
The problem: You're acting as your own IT department, and running your WordPress website has turned into a second job. You spend countless hours figuring out updates, plugins, warnings, performance, broken links and errors, instead of focusing on sales, service delivery or strategy.
The solution: We review the areas covered by your plan and give you a clear, expert human-reviewed report of what's working, what needs attention, and what you should consider doing next. You stay informed without becoming a WordPress expert. The information you receive helps you transform your website from a time-consuming chore into a passive asset that simply works for you.
Cut the costs & save money on tools
The problem: You're constantly recommended new and costly plugins, optimization, monitoring and security tools and subscriptions. You have to re-learn every new tool. You're often paying for options your site isn't using. It can be difficult to know which features your site needs, and which are duplicates or unnecessary.
The solution: We review your existing setup and highlight genuine gaps, obvious overhead and overlaps, as well as issues that deserve attention. That helps you make informed decisions before paying for or trying to handle yet another plugin, subscription, service, or technical fix your WordPress website doesn't actually need.
Take the guesswork out of WordPress updates
The problem: You dread leaving auto-updates enabled or seeing the notification saying multiple updates are available. You fear the update might cause your WordPress website to crash or break your design. You're never in the clear what to do or whom to contact if something goes wrong.
The solution: We review available updates as a part of your monthly service. When the required backup, access, and licensing conditions are in place, we perform eligible standard updates, followed by basic website checks. If the conditions are not suitable, we report the update instead of taking an unnecessary risk with your website. We understand a functional website is essential for your business.
Know what to do and who can help
The problem: When a problem appears, it's not always obvious where it's coming from or who should handle it. You contact your host, theme or plugin developer, or a random forum expert. Sometimes you don't know what information you need to provide, and you're offered conflicting or inaccurate advice.
The solution: When we identify a problem that really needs attention, we'll provide you with a detailed report about what we found, how we found it, why it matters, what the next step should be, and who should normally handle that type of issue. This information helps you approach the right provider with clear information and avoid wasting time by pursuing the wrong solution.
Catch problems before they affect the revenue
The problem: Some website problems are easy to miss. Your contact form or cookie banner can stop working, site links can lead customers nowhere, updates can remain pending, or an important page can develop performance or accessibility issues. Such problems occur because no one looks for them.
The solution: Regular website health checks, uptime monitoring, functionality reviews, and the additional scans included with the Lite and Pro plans help identify problems that may go unnoticed. Your monthly report will give a clearer picture of your site's current state, and highlight anything worth investigating and addressing. Shift from reactive panic fixes to proactive peace of mind.

What we check
Your website needs a real review,
not just another score
A website can look perfect on the surface while silently losing you money: a broken form, a missed update, or a recurring hidden error. Automated scans can miss these nuances.
We combine hands-on human expertise with smart diagnostic tools to cut through the noise. Instead of dumping a raw list of confusing warnings at you, we manually inspect your site, verify every finding, and separate real risks from background static.
The result?
You get a clear, actionable picture of what's working, what's at risk, and exactly what to do next.
And if everything is healthy? We tell you that too. No invented problems. No panic. Just clarity.
The difference is expert judgment
Typical automated service
- Blindly forwards scan results
- Treats every warning as a crisis
- Overwhelms you with noise
- Leaves you guessing what to fix
- Gives you data, not directions
Our human-reviewed service
- Manually inspects your specific setup
- Verifies findings against reality
- Filters out the noise, keeps the signals
- Prioritizes issues by impact
- Gives you a clear path of action
Here is exactly what our experts
look at during your monthly review:
WordPress Health & Security
What we check:
We review WordPress and PHP versions, Site Health, dashboard warnings, plugins, themes, administrator accounts, HTTPS status, security hygiene, and backup readiness.
What you gain: Proactive risk awareness.
Don't wait for an incident to discover something basic was overlooked. We review outdated components, unexpected admin accounts, backup readiness, and other obvious security-hygiene concerns that deserve attention. You get a clear picture of where potential weaknesses may exist and what your next move should be.
Updates & Safety Checks
What we check:
We review available WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates. When backups, access, and licenses are confirmed, we install eligible updates and verify the site. If an update is unsafe, we halt and report it.
What you gain: Confidence over guesswork.
You don't need to gamble with the "Update" button. When the required backup conditions are in place, we perform eligible standard WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, followed by website checks. If the conditions aren't suitable, we leave the updates untouched and report it. We won't take unnecessary risks with your website.
Uptime Monitoring & Error Review
What we check:
We monitor public availability and summarize uptime in your report. During the monthly review, we dig into WordPress, PHP, dashboard, and front-end diagnostic errors where data is available.
What you gain: Silent problem detection.
You don't need to guess if your website was always available. We provide a clear summary of your site's availability over the past month, highlighting any downtime or anomalies you might have missed. This gives you the concrete data needed to ask your host the right questions and investigate potential external factors like DDoS attacks or DNS failures.
Website Functionality
What we check:
We manually navigate your included pages, checking navigation, header and footer elements, buttons, links, visible resources, obvious front-end problems, and your primary contact form.
What you gain: Frictionless customer experience.
A broken button is a lost lead. We walk in your visitor's shoes to spot the frustrating glitches such as missing images, dead links, or forms that fail to send, all of which automated dashboards can usually miss. We check the included pages for common problems before they become a serious issue for your visitors or your business.
Accessibility
What we check:
We run automated and manual checks for contrast, keyboard navigation, focus behavior, forms, and image alternatives on included pages
What you gain: Wider reach and inclusion.
Make your business welcoming to everyone. We identify the usual barriers that can make your website harder to use by visitors with disabilities, helping you expand your audience and improve usability for all. It's about building a site that works for people, not just browsers. Better accessibility can improve usability for everyone.
Website Integrity (Lite & Pro)
What we check:
We crawl for broken internal/external links, redirects, error pages, and missing resources, grouping repeated problems.
What you gain: Polished professionalism.
Nothing screams "unprofessional" like a "404 Page Not Found" error or a dead-end. Our findings are organized by the pages affected so you can quickly see where problems occur and what needs attention. Pages containing multiple broken links are grouped together to make the report easier to review and use.
Performance (Lite & Pro)
What we check:
We review selected pages for notable loading issues, problematic or oversized assets, caching behaviour, existing optimization configuration, and obvious overlapping or conflicting performance tools.
What you gain: Actionable performance insight.
Ignore the vanity scores and focus on real speed. We cut through the noise and highlight obvious concerns and most likely contributors, and explain what's actually worth fixing. You don't need to waste money on yet another overlapping plugin that won't make a real difference. Instead, you'll be making informed decisions that actually improve load times.
Consent Banner Functionality (Pro)
What we check:
We go beyond a visual check to perform a behavioral audit of your consent banner. We test key consent interactions: rejecting categories, saving preferences, and reopening controls. Specifically, we look for critical failures.
What you gain: Trustworthy visitor interaction.
We ensure your privacy tools function as expected, helping you maintain trust with visitors and align with their basic privacy expectations. A consent banner that looks good but acts badly is a weakness. We verify that your visitors’ choices actually matter and help you maintain genuine user trust and avoid the reputational damage of "ghost tracking".
Your Monthly Report
What you receive:
A human-reviewed executive summary of your site's health.
What you gain: Strategic control and clear priorities.
No more data dumps. We translate technical findings into clear priorities with context. You'll know exactly what is working, what is at risk, and who needs to fix it. We hand you a roadmap, not a riddle, so you can make fast, confident business decisions.

FAQ
What are Health & Monitoring Services for WordPress Websites?
Health & Monitoring Services for WordPress Websites are recurring monthly website oversight services designed and built for website owners with business to run, and no time to constantly monitor everything by themselves.
Depending on your plan, we review: WordPress health, updates, website availability, diagnostic errors, functionality, accessibility, website integrity, performance, consent functionality, and other included areas.
Every monthly review ends with a clear report explaining what we checked, what's working, what requires attention, and what to do next.
Do I need to use OceanWP or own OceanWP products?
No, you're not required to use the OceanWP theme or any other OceanWP product.
Our services are available for WordPress websites regardless of the theme, plugins, or products you use. We review the areas included in your plan based on the website you actually have.
Custom development, custom code troubleshooting, and specialist work outside the plan scope are not included.
Can I use this service for an eCommerce website?
Yes, eCommerce websites can use our Health & Monitoring Services for WordPress Websites.
We review the WordPress website according to the plan coverage in your selected plan, just as we would for any other eligible WordPress website.
However, our service doesn't include eCommerce transaction testing. We don't place orders or test payment gateways, checkout payments, refunds, subscriptions, shipping, taxes, inventory, customer accounts, or any other transactional workflow.
If an eCommerce page is included in the normal review and we notice an obvious visible problem, such as a broken page, link, resource or layout issue, we'll report it.
Is this a WordPress maintenance or support plan?
Our services are not maintenance or support services in traditional sense.
Your subscription includes scheduled monthly oversight, monitoring, eligible standard updates, and reporting based on your selected plan.
You don't need to submit a support ticket every month for us to do something. We'll contact you before the scheduled review, perform the included work, and send you the results.
Our services don't include any kind of technical support aside from the technical inspection required to perform the oversight included in your selected plan. Our services also don't include on-demand troubleshooting, content updates or design changes, custom development or emergency website repair.
I already have a developer. Why would I need this service?
If you already have a developer, that's awesome. The services we provide and the services provided by your developer serve different purposes, but go excellent together.
Your developer may handle content changes, custom code or design, optimization, complex troubleshooting, server work, performance optimization, or other specialist tasks.
Our role is the ongoing oversight of your website. We regularly review areas included in your active plan, look for problems that may go unnoticed, and give you a clear report of what we found.
If something requires your developer's expertise, you can forward our findings to them so that they have clear information about what needs attention.
We help you know when specialist work is needed. Your developer handles the specialist work.
Will you fix every problem you find?
No, we will not fix every problem we find, and that is intentional.
Our role is to identify problems, verify our findings, explain why they matter, and help you understand what should happen next.
Some findings may not require any action. Some you may be able to handle yourself. Other findings may be handled by your hosting provider, developer or designer, plugin or theme developer, security specialist, or another professional. It all depends on the type of the finding and its root cause.
You are in complete control and decide what to do next with the information we share with you.
Will you perform WordPress core, theme and plugin updates?
Yes, when required conditions are in place, we will perform eligible standard WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates, available through the WordPress dashboard.
This requires a suitable recent backup and the website access needed to perform the updates safely. Premium themes and plugins can only be updated when their required licenses are already active and update is legitimately available through the website dashboard.
If an update requires a premium ZIP file or any other installation package that we can't access through your website directly, we won't obtain it through a third-party website on your behalf.
After updating, we perform basic website checks. Standard updates can still occasionally cause unexpected problems. If a serious issue occurs during the review, we'll stop further update activity, take reasonably limited recovery steps where appropriate, and notify you.
If the conditions aren't suitable for an update, we won't take any unnecessary risk with your update. Instead, we'll report what we found.
What website access do you need?
For the majority of oversight services covered by your monthly plan, we'll need temporary or active WordPress administrator access to the website.
To perform eligible updates, we'll also need confirmation of a current full website backup and functional SFTP or equivalent file access where required.
We don't need permanent access to your website. For privacy and security reasons, we recommend removing or disabling the admin access you shared with as, including the SFTP/FTP credentials, after each completed review. We'll contact you before the next scheduled review so new or reactivated access can be provided.
We don't require access to your hosting panel, domain registrar, DNS, CDN, Google Search Console, analytics, email inbox, or other unrelated third-party services as a part of the standard oversight service.
If you don't provide the necessary access or information, we'll perform the parts of the scheduled review that can reasonably be completed with what is available.
What if you don't find anything wrong?
If we don't find any problems with your website, we'll share that information with you.
A healthy website doesn't need invented problems to justify a monthly subscription.
If your website is healthy, your report will still show what we reviewed, and what we found to be working properly at the time of the review.
That report will still provide you with a clear picture of your website's current state.
Is this 24/7 website repair or emergency support?
No, we don't provide 24/7 website repairs or emergency support.
The only ongoing monitoring between scheduled reviews is your website's public availability, which is summarized and reported as part of your service.
Our services don't include 24/7 emergency response, immediate outage investigation, managed hosting, server administration, or guaranteed response to downtime.
If we identify information that shows a potential concern during a scheduled review, we'll include it in your report. You can then share that information with your hosting provider or another appropriate specialist if deeper investigation is needed.
How does monthly billing work, and do I need to commit for a year?
Your website's Health & Monitoring plan is a monthly subscription billed in advance.
Each successful monthly payment covers the website oversight and services included in your selected plan for that service period.
Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
With an active subscription, you don't need to purchase or request each monthly review separately. As long as your subscription is active, we'll handle the monthly follow-up and scheduling.
Can I cancel, and what happens to the review I already paid for?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription any time.
Subscription cancellation stops future renewals. Subscription cancellation doesn't reverse a payment that's already been processed.
If your most recent payment covers a review that hasn't been completed yet, that review is still a part of the service period you already paid for and may still be scheduled or completed.
If the review covered by your last payment has already been completed, then cancelling the subscription simply prevents the next renewal and no additional monthly review will be due.
Are payments refundable?
No, the Health & Monitoring Services for WordPress Websites are non-refundable.
Monthly payments are made in advance for the service period they cover. Once a payment has been processed, it can't be refunded if you later decide to cancel the subscription and not continue with the future service periods.
Subscription cancellation prevents future renewals. Subscription cancellation doesn't refund the current paid service period.
How many websites does one subscription cover?
Each Health & Monitoring subscription covers one (1) website.
If you'd like us to monitor and review more than one website, you'll need a separate subscription for each additional website.
WordPress Multisite networks are not currently supported, including individual websites or subsites that form a part of a Multisite network.
At this time, we don't offer multi-site or bundled website plans, although we may consider adding them in the future.
How does the complimentary 12-month Site Booster license work?
Every Health & Monitoring plan includes a complimentary 12-month Site Booster license for one (1) website with your first subscription.
After we complete your first website review, we'll send you the monthly report together with a special link you can use to claim Site Booster.
Site Booster is optional. You don't need to install or use it, and installation, setup, and configuration are not included in the Website Health & Monitoring service. If your website already has suitable tools in place, you can continue using your existing setup.
The complimentary license is a one-time benefit. Renewing your Health & Monitoring subscription doesn't give you another complimentary 12-month Site Booster license.
When you claim Site Booster, its own subscription has automatic renewal enabled by default. Unless you cancel it before the renewal date, Site Booster will renew after the complimentary 12-month period at the applicable renewal price.
You can manage or cancel the Site Booster subscription independently at any time. Site Booster renewal payments are subject to the applicable OceanWP product Refund Policy and are non-refundable.
